Vikings Made History Last Weekend

Vikings made history last weekend, with the first ever college lacrosse game in the city of Santa Monica.

We had another big win this weekend 18-3, which moved us up to # 4 in the state...  Outstanding job guys!  I would also like to thank the parents who attended yesterdays game, you were awesome.

As a reminder, we only have one practice before our biggest game of the year against Torrance.  This will certainly let us know how were really doing against a much more competitive team.  It's mandatory for everyone to be at practice Tuesday.  Parents, were going to need all the support we can get on Wednesday.  Please come and support our Vikings.  Bring some noise, if you have a cowbell, horn,  or just a loud voice.  I'm asking you  bring it!  It's time for all of us to start coming together as we head down the road (or should I say up the road t Santa Rosa) to a state championship. Guys, I need you to go the extra mile and start working out on your own (jump rope,WABBAS, or a morning/evening runs).

Last but not least.  The state championship is coming up fast.

Best in LAX,

Coach

Lacrosse isn't just sticking around in Southern California

The sport is suddenly everywhere, with USC adding a women's team, high schools picking up the game and parents lauding the sense of sportsmanship.

Lacrosse's lineage traces to the era of the birch canoe. Passion pockets eventually sprang up in Baltimore and New York, where they have played it for decades. And finally, inexplicably, it has found a following here on the West Coast, enjoying a growth spurt that might be a backlash to the just-win attitudes of other youth sports, might not. Might be TV and Internet exposure. Might just be that lacrosse is painless to learn and pure fun to play..........MORE

Summer Lacrosse Camps!!

Summer is rapidly approaching and you all (unless you already know everything) need to get signed up for a summer lacrosse camp!

We would like all of you to have as much information about summer lacrosse camps as possible as we feel that it is very important for you to have the opportunity to attend some of the great camps over the summer months.

These camps are like a college lacrosse experience as they are held at universities and players will be sleeping in the dorms and eating in the school cafeterias, etc. It is a great experience for everyone!

There are a lot of camps to choose from ... but we are highlighting below a few that we highly recommend.

Also, if we get enough of our players going to one or more of the camps, we will get a group discount.

You should all know to get signed up as soon as possible as space is limited in these camps.
